    I successfully initiated the development of "Malom", an AI-driven Optical Character Recognition solution aimed at assisting researchers. Despite facing numerous technical challenges, our perseverance paid off, earning us fourth place nationally. A standout moment of the journey was presenting our work to senior leaders at the Ministry of Education. For the app's graphical user interface, we utilized Tkinter (Python) alongside a CNN model for enhanced functionality.

Bayesian Optimization and Progressive Fine-Tuning Pipeline for Kidney CT-Scan Image Detection

Developed a state-of-the-art deep learning system achieving 99.92% accuracy in multi-class kidney tumor classification from CT scans—the highest performance reported in literature. The system addresses critical challenges in medical imaging: class imbalance (40.8% normal, 29.8% cyst, 18.3% tumor, 11.1% stone) and limited dataset size (12,446 images).

My Core Contribution

As the primary technical architect, I implemented all code-related components that achieved our breakthrough results:

  • Progressive Fine-Tuning Pipeline: Designed and coded 3-stage training strategy (transfer learning → 30 layers → 50 layers unfrozen) using DenseNet201
  • CW3BO Algorithm: Implemented custom Bayesian optimization for automated class weight balancing, discovering optimal weights (Normal=1, Cyst=2, Stone=4, Tumor=3)
  • Test-Time Augmentation: Developed TTA system generating 4 augmented versions per image (rotation, flip, zoom, shifts) for robust predictions
  • Hyperparameter Optimization: Extensive tuning across learning rates, batch sizes, and optimization strategies to maximize performance
